Purpose:

Workshop in response to a MoN from Cr Cabada on 27 January 2026 - Removal of outdoor dining fees to support business, activation and city vibrancy.

Decision:

In response to a query from Councillor Davis, an undertaking was given to clarify any connection between the property valuation method for rating purposes and outdoor dining fees.

In response to a query from Councillor Maher, undertakings were given to provide Council Members with the cost of cleaning outdoor dining areas and the ability for owners to charge renters a higher fee if the owner has an outdoor dining permit.
